Genetic Bikes is a U.K. brand, with our HQ based in at Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Ison Distribution was established in 1992 as a distributor of high quality bicycles, parts and accessories to the bicycle trade.

The following Terms and Conditions and linked additional pages govern access and use of our website, together with the sale and purchase of goods from the website. By visiting the Genetic Bikes website you agree to accept the content
of these Terms and Conditions.

Local Dealer

We believe that one of the best ways to purchase specialist bicycle products is via your professional local bicycle shop. They should be able to offer you expert advice to assist you with your purchasing decisions and also
provide you with the best on-going service, setup and after sales support. We encourage you to buy via your professional local bike shop where possible.

Making a Direct Purchase as a Consumer from Genetic Bikes

If you have concluded that your purchasing requirements are best served by an online option, Genetic Bikes offers a direct consumer purchase option. Our logistics focus is initially the UK and Western Europe, please
refer to our Delivery page for more information.

Note: Solutions are available for other areas of the World. However, if your location is not currently listed in our automated checkout basket, we recommend that you check our International
Distributors
list for alternative solutions. It is likely to be more cost effective and quicker for you using an appointed distributor and retailer system for your location, where our automated option is
not available.

Contract of Sale

When you place an order through our website, www.geneticbikes.com you should receive a reply e-mail which confirms our receipt of your order. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such
acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that the Goods have been dispatched (Dispatch Confirmation). The contract between us (Contract of Sale) will be formed when we send you the Dispatch
Confirmation.

Product Description and Specifications

We have endeavoured to represent as closely as possible the products we offer using current photographic technology. However, we cannot be held liable for errors and omissions.

Whilst we endeavour to have up to date information displayed, all specifications and prices shown are subject to change without notice.

The weights shown on this site are intended as a guide. Actual weights may vary slightly from those stated due to for example; tolerance in rim extrusion moulds.

Returning Unwanted Goods/Cancelling an Order

Inside of the UK

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, without giving any specific reason, you may choose to cancel your order and return the product at any time within 14 working days after
the day that you received the relevant products or products (subject to the limitations set out below).

In order cancel your contract and return the goods, please contact us first (ideally in writing) to provide your notice of cancellation.

Please note: Our warehouse staff may not accept goods delivered/returned to us without notice. When returning goods, please enclose a printed letter that includes your order number,
name and billing address, as well as a brief description of the reason for the return.

Return postage costs are at the customer’s expense.

  • We are unable to accept a cancellation on goods that have been altered specifically for the customer.
  • Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
  • We will not accept items returned with postage labels attached to the product packaging. Please ensure the item is returned in a suitable bag/box for processing
    through the mail/courier services.
  • We strongly advise using a tracked or signed for delivery service as all items remain the customer’s responsibility until they have been returned to Genetic
    Bikes. All items will be returned at the customer’s cost and must be returned within 10 working days of the notice of cancellation of your order.

A full refund (including any additional fairly apportioned original outbound postage charges if the order value exceeded £42.00) will be made within 30 days of the receipt
of the returned goods, via the original payment method.

Outside of the UK

The same terms apply as the UK except that Genetic Bikes will not offer to refund the freight charges in either direction, if you are returning goods where Genetic Bikes is not found to be at fault.

Inspection, Damages and Shortages

You are required to inspect all goods promptly after they are delivered and, in any event within three working days of receipt.

Any damages, defects or shortages in the goods delivered must be notified to us in writing within three working days of receipt. Any externally damaged cartons must be signed ‘damaged’ with the carrier upon delivery. Failure to comply
with the above will invalidate any claim you may make against us in respect of any alleged damage or shortages of delivery.

Returning Damaged, Incorrect or Defective Items Received

If you wish to return goods where Genetic Bikes has made an error, e.g., by supplying incorrect items, damaged items or defective items Genetic Bikes will credit back all outbound carriage charges and all reasonable return charges.*

(*You must contact Genetic Bikes before returning items to explain the problem so that Genetic Bikes can confirm any error, and obtain a quotation for return freight if the cost will exceed £10.00)

You could always telephone us on 01353 668353. We will endeavour to reply to your complaint within one working day and inform you of what action will be taken.

Liability

If we fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions, we shall only be liable to you for the purchase price of the Goods.

We will not be liable for losses that result from our failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions that fall into the following categories even if such losses result from our deliberate breach:

  • loss of income or revenue
  • loss of business
  • loss of profits
  • loss of anticipated savings
  • loss of data
  • waste of management or office time

Nothing in our terms and conditions shall limit or exclude either our or your liability for death or personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979, defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 or any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful to exclude or restrict our liability.

Where you buy any Goods from a third party seller through our site, the seller’s individual liability will be set out in the seller’s terms and conditions.

Our Right to Vary these Terms and Conditions

We have the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in market conditions affecting our business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in our system’s capabilities.

You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions in force at the time that you order Goods from us.

Law and Jurisdiction

Contracts for the purchase of Goods through our site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by English law. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with such Contracts or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
